Yuki Tanaka
Oil on linen · 18 works
Yuki Tanaka's luminous new body of work explores the threshold between interior and exterior worlds — the moment a room becomes aware of its own light. Working on large-scale linen canvases, Tanaka builds layers of translucent colour that seem to breathe and shift as you move around them.
"I am less interested in depicting light than in creating the sensation that light is present in the paint itself."
